A new review has been discovered online at Nitro Video. Read Below:

The Night Owl(2005)
Steven Shea’s The Night Owl is an end-times tale that trades mass chaos and a cast of thousands for four college girls staying at a lake-house for a weekend retreat. While small-scale apocalypse movies have been made in the past (think The Seventh Sign or 1964’s On The Beach), not many are made that way due to budgetary necessity as appears the case with this grass-roots digital video production. Fortunately, a just-interesting enough story, some clever editing and a lot of feminine eye-candy save this movie from becoming too much like its production company’s namesake: Abyssmal Entertainment.

While not a classic by any stretch, there are good moments in The Night Owl and some decent performances, most notably from Skye Noel Smith and Jessica Matthews. But those looking for an exciting supernatural tale filled with blood and boobs may want to steer clear of this one, as it is rather slow. Also be warned, if you’re not used to shot-on-video fare, you’ll be a bit taken aback by the movie’s look.

Still, if you can look padt its shortcomings, you might be pleasantly surprised. Also starring Kimberly Shea and Toni Williams.
